    Default Anyone here 40-41

I am 41 have been since December. My sons are 25 and 23. I had them at 16 and 18. I have 5 grandchildren and another on the way.
My husband is 6 years younger than I and has no children.
In the next few years we want to adopt or get a surrogate mother.
I would love to have more children, I had to have a total hysterectomy at 33.
I would love to talk to other women my age especially ones that are having babies at that age.

I am 40-41. Not planning any babies though! I have twins (b+g) in college (19) and a 16 yo girl.
DH has 2 children 25+27 and 3 grandchildren - we do not have children together.

Life is so fine with grandchildren!

But- I hope that you find all the happiness in the world with adoption or surrogate.

O.K. I'm a little younger, I'm 36 and yes, I am planning on having kids. I'm just starting a little late. I'm very familiar with IVF and have learned a lot about ART. It's amazing what modern medicine can do. I met a girl that was born without a uterus, but with her own ovaries. So, her sil is carrying her baby, but it's genetically hers and her dh's. Just amazing!

I'm 40 and have 1 son who will be eighteen 2 months from today and 1 daughter who will be 13 in July. I will not be having anymore children. I would have liked to have a couple of more but now that my health isn't great I am really glad my children are getting older. I really see nothing wrong with having children in your 40's--it's the 50 and 60 year olds I worry about.

Well, I am 43 and have an almost 20 yr. old son, and a 21 month old adopted son. My husband is also 6 yrs. younger and we have been married for 6 yrs, he had no children. My birthday is in December too.
We brought our younger son into our life last year at 8 months old. A lot of people thought we were crazy , but he has been such a joy and a blessing. I would do it again if we could afford to , the lawyers fees , etc.. are expensive. And since I am staying home with him, we don't have extra money at all.
I feel like I am a better Mom now than I was with my older son, due to being older and wiser than I was at 23.

I'm 43 and my youngest is 3. I also have a 4 year old. Thoe children are beautiful gifts that I wouldn't trade for the world!

    Have you considered Foster Parenting?

WOuld consider fostering and may in the future, but right now with living in a construction zone, we most likely wouldn't be approved for a homestudy. We are in are still working on our house, and living in two large rooms as we finish, I am sure they would not approve.
When the house is finished and it lives up to the safety codes of the social workers then I would like to foster, if I can convince my husband.
