    Unhappy Kind of a blah feeling day...

    It's beautiful out today, but I'm feeling blah...my son, dil & grandkids left to go back to North Carolina this morning. I love having them here and every time they visit and leave, it's like they moved all over again. Bites!!!

    I hope that today is a much better day for you. I feel the same way whenever my dd has been home for a weekend and has to return to college. Yesterday was one of those days for me too.

    My dd and her boyfriend were home for the weekend. They left their fresh-from-the-humane-society kitty with me along with their other kitty. I said I would take the new kitty to the vet for his checkup as a gift to them. They only go to college an hour away and are coming back tonight to pick up the "boys." So I get to see them again!!

    I know how you feel. I always cry after a visit from my dd when she has to go back to the university, after such a fun time the house just seems so lonely. I try to find a project to keep me busy, usually something gets a good scrubbing and I listen to some favorite upbeat music. Helps keep my mind off of feeling sad and sorry for myself.

    I hope you're doing better today and you get a visit from them again soon.

    I always feel a little 'empty armed' when my sons go back to where they are at school, after having visited. Like a big hole in my heart.

    Like prairiewife, I find a good ole' cleaning frenzy wears me out, and leaves me feeling like the emptiness is all behind me...like I've moved on.

    Hard, isn't it?
