Default Taco Soup w Bacon and Cactus

    1. Cook hamburger with onion, garlic, jalapenos, and cactus. Drain.
    2. Cook bacon in sauce pan, add to hamburger mixture. Not, too crispy, it should still be fatty-white.
    3. In large stockpan, combine all ingredients and cook for 1 hour, or until potatoes and carrots are tender. Stir occasionally. Add Tabasco and lime juice to taste. Great with buttered cornbread

This recipe piqued my interest. We've eaten cactus from a jar. It reminds me of a mild green chili. Thanks for sharing!

How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown
