Default 3/19/2009 What's up on this Thrifty Thursday?!

I am up and dressed and the kids just got on the bus. I am headed out the door. I am going to KY to spend the day with my cousin and we are going to hit every junk store in a 50 mile radius! So those are my plans for today. The chores at home will have to wait. Have a good Thursday everyone!

Aw, I'm jealous! Have fun at the junk stores!

I'm on the mend, but still feeling cruddy, so I don't think I will expect too much from myself today.

I have to take DH a hot lunch today (leftovers from last night), DS has a half day of school (then out for spring break...heaven help us all), and I have DS's conference at 1:40 that I can't forget, since my original conference was Monday. And since I didn't get off the couch on Monday, I totally forgot about it. Chaulk it up to medicine head.

So that is all I HAVE to do, we'll see what else I can actually get done!

I'm savoring the one cup of coffee I have time to drink this morning.
I already did 1 load of clothes and did the breakfast dishes. Now here's what I have left to do...

    1. take a shower(must get dolled up good)
    2. go pick up check
    3. go to bank
    4. get drivers license renewed(mug shot, hence getting dolled up)
    5. go grocery shopping
    6. fix dinner sometime today.

DS and I slept in really late today, but for good reason. He is having a small surgery done at 2:00 and he is not allowed to eat or drink anything. I let him stay up as late as he wanted last night (he finally went to bed at 3:30) so he would sleep as late as possible today.

Once he has the procedure done and is out of anesthesia (sp?) we will hit the pharmacy to fill his prescription then head home.

DD has been at the beach this week for spring break. She got back in town last night but stayed at my mom's. She is at work this afternoon but will finally be home this evening. I have really missed her & can't wait to give her a big hug.

Tonight we will all just hang out, watch some TV and take care of DS. Gotta get lots of rest tonight, tomorrow night is the release party for Twilight and DH or I will have to take DD since I already pre-purchased DD's copy of the DVD. She is SOOOO excited.

Today is our first day of spring break and of course its cold and wet here. I don't really feel like doing much. DD is sick with the flu and Ds is out playing..
I really need to clean out the pantry, the fridge, go thru coupons and make a grocery list. This running to the store picking up stuff for supper each night is murder on the budget.
We will see how much I manage to get done.

I had a hard time sleeping last night, so overslept a bit this morning. I've done breakfast and lunch, cleaned up the house a bit, did the kids lessons, and hung out two loads of laundry. Left for the day:

    * bring clothes in and get them put away
    * help Dh unload a truck he's bringing home later
    * get a start weeding and preparing my garden beds
    * go to bed early and hopefully get some rest

There's a LEGO CLUB? OMG, don't tell my DS25, I think he'd STILL join! LOL! He was such a lego freak. I have saved all of his sets for his kids. (when he has some)

I have done very little....Dishes and laundry, of course. This was my day to go to my sister's and have coffee, and dish about family gossip. Gotta love Thursdays.
