    Default Thrifty Thursday 9/3/09

We're up relatively early for us this morning, as DS and DD#4 are working in the childcare for our local MOPS group today. I'm going to try and get my hair cut while they do this, and then work on an essay I need to write for my online class.

A friend just called and offered to pick them up afterwards, and take them to a state park for a day of hiking with her brood, so I have a rare day alone!!!!

Just might have to take myself out for lunch!! (Still haven't had any french fries since the August challenge ended!)

We are hosting TWO cookouts this weekend (one is a graduation party for me!) so I need to get a lot of groceries, maybe that's what I'll do, plus work on school.

This is shaping up to be a GREAT DAY!!! Thank you Tammy W.!!!

I am taking DS to the doctor. Looks like he might have strep throat.

As I write this my cousin is in the operating room having a C-section. I had my second child on her mom's birthday and she is having her first on my hubby's birthday. I can pretty much guarantee her baby won't be bigger than DH was at birth. He weighed in at 14 pounds 1 ounce.

DD has an employee appreciation get together tonight. She and DH will go so I can stay home with DS.

Happy 37th birthday to DH and welcome to the world baby Brinley!!!

Well it's back to work for me today for the LONG and busy holiday weekend. This is a weekend that I dread. We have several bunches that camp with us this weekend every year who are just not nice. They like to set up on sites and not bother to register or pay. Then they come on Monday wanting to pay and they lie and tell us they came in on Saturday when they were really there Thursday or Friday. They also plug battery chargers and things into the bathroom outlets and trip the breakers over and over. We also have a registered sex offender who camps this weekend and it just all makes for a very long weekend!

    This morning I have....

Got the kids up, fed and out the door
    Paid bills
Made breakfast for me and dh
I have the second load of dishes going in the dishwasher

    I still need to....

Decide on something for dh and the kids for dinner
    Pack my lunch
Get a shower and do my hair
    Work 1-9

Thrifty day for me today! I brought lunch to work as well as my morning coffee and a pop. I plan on making some potato soup for dinner to use up some milk and potatoes that will spoil if I don't. I sold a carpet cleaner that I had and never used, so I have to load it in my car and bring to work tomorrow so I can get paid! I used free samples to wash my hair this morning. I love thrifty days!

    Have a great day!

Well I'll be preparing for a full but pleasent weekend that will start as soon as I get off work tomorrow. That means I want to get all the "chore" work out of the way this evening. No one has practice so I should have help.

    ~ work
~ post office run (lots of late stuff to go out )(not very thrifty of me)
    ~ vacuum the house well
~ finish off the rest of the glass surfaces
~ deep clean the bathrooms instead of the quick wipe downs
    ~ clean the burners
~ make sure the boys have truely cleaned thier rooms and not just hidden the clutter and mess
    ~ laundry
    ~ prep lunches
    ~ clean off computer desk
    ~ dinner
    ~ wipe down fridge
~ dust and oil den and living room
    ~ excersize (strength)

If I get through all that I should get in an awesome night of rest

    Have a great day all!

    Happy Thursday everyone!

    So far today I have:
    -kids off to school
-took a bunch of stuff to the food pantry for their yard sale
    -put gas in the car
-went to the dr. for that wonderful yearly exam
    -laundry going (as usual)
    -bed made
-quick pick up around the house

    Yet to do today:
    -fill a script
-meet DS at the cafe across from the school to feed him before the bus leaves for their first out of town football game...GO EAGLES!
-pick DD up from band practice and take her to piano lesson
-take DD home then head to the football game (about 40 miles from us)
-supper will probably be a hot dog at the football game lol

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well I have not got much done today since the rag weed is kicking my butt and my head feels like a bowling ball. I really need to do some cleaning, but I think I will put that off to play here.

Tonight we might have a friend over to watch the football game with, so I will do some basic cleaning later after dinner. I'm not leaving the house today so no money will be spent.

Hello ladiies. Today was my payday and only day off this week so I spent most of the day running errands and grocery shopping. I have a load of clothes in the washer that need dried, dinner to fix, dishes to do and bills to figure. Overtime is nice but the homefront suffers.
