    Default Thrifty Thursday 12/24

Good morning ladies. I'm enjoying my second cup of coffee. I have a few things planned today but nothing major. I already took the ham out of the freezer to thaw. I still have to

    -cash check
    -finish laundry
-clean light fixtures, I can't believe the dust on them.
    -figure bills
    -clean off table

Good morning. I've already made breakfast and washed the dishes. I'm cooking a pot of chicken now for chicken and dumplings for dinner tonight. I need to pickup the house, shower and get ready for our church service, go to hospital and visit DH's uncle and set table for tomorrow. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and stay safe.

Finishing up the laundry- all washed just have to get everything dried. DS2 will be heading out in a few hours with his biomom. I am worried about the driving conditions (sleet and snow). He won't be home until Saturday or Sunday. I have to get the red velvet cake in the oven so it can be iced for dinner tonight. Gumbo will be going in the pot near lunch time. DH has a half day at work so when he gets home we will have fried oysters for a snack. Everything is done for the holidays so we will just be relaxing the next few days.

Good Morning! I wrapped a few gifts this morning, now I'm at work for a bit. When I get home I need to make a jello salad for tomorrow, sew the binding on a wall hanging for my mom, sew on some buttons and if I have time, I might make some shortbread cookies. Whew, I hope they let us go home early!

Good Afternoon I got to sleep in a lil this am instead of having to drive across the city for my dad's lab appointments Had some coffee and toast, curled up with my fuzzy blankie and read some of my book finally. QT for me! Wandered here to the village and to check emails and now I need to get off my hiney and grab a hair trim, shower, lunch and get cracking on the festive treats: cookies from a cake mix (? no clue how these will turn out), rice krisipie squares and choc dipped pretzels. Maybe a zip around the lv rm with the vacuum if I'm feeling up for it

    Have a great day y'all

Well lets see. It snowed alot so dh was snowblowing and a bolt of some kind came off the snowblower. So off to the hardware store he went for a new bolt and he bought a better ice chopper too. Now we are having an ice storm and then tonight into tomorrow we are supposed to get 7 or more inches of snow.
I am doing the usual chores today and I am putting a ham in the oven in awile. Nice ham dinner tonight and no cooking for me tomorrow.

I don't actually celebrate Christmas (though while I'm playing on FV I'm listening to my Sesame Street Christmas CD - I wore out the tape.)

I woke up full of energy (huh?) and made a three page To Do list awhile I ate breakfast. No, I obviously don't plan to get it all done. And I put in a lot of little tiny things so I could be motivated checking things off. Like "Put away phone book." Unfortunately, there are some biggies, like "Clean hall closet" (in progress now).

So a busy day, but after supper it's all downtime. I've just started a 2000 piece puzzle. That may why there's this flurry of housework - it looks easier!

Today I am having a wonderful time hanging around the house and getting a lot of little things done - crafting, putting things away, visiting FV. No realy structure today, just cruising.

Hula Bowl is on in less than 4 hours, so will settle down to watch that with DH. Going to make a platter of pupus (appetizers) to enjoy during the game - we may not need to eat a real meal after!!

Whatever you are doing - enjoy the day and be safe!!

Woke up to pork loin cooking in the crockpot. Took care of the pork loin.

    Took a walk, then showered.

    Slow day today.

Need to make some gingerbread dough to bake tomorrow.

    Open on present.

Today was filled with baking and cooking. It was also filled with laughs and fun with everyone home (including my husband who had the day off). Things are winding down for the evening.

    Merry Christmas!!
