    Default Thrifty Thursday 1/7

Good morning. Wow already a week has gone by in the new year. As usual I'm getting ready for work. I'm driving my new car to work for the first time. We are suppose to get another 2-4 inches of snow and I'll need the 4 wheel drive. Today is payday so I'll be stopping at the bank when I get off work. I'll probably stop and pick up a cheap pizza for dinner, haven't decided on that yet but I laid some hamburger out to thaw just in case. I have dishes to put away, and lots of reading I want to do. Hope you have a great day.

I'm TRYING to avoid ebay...lol...dresses or so CUTE but I find the prices so high for used clothes. other than that I am making a pillow out of fleece and left over Christmas stuffing for my two girls.

Hung up two loads of laundry in the attic. that's about it. Pretty relaxing day!

So far I've gone for my blood test, the lab tech was commenting on how pale I looked and then I went all woozy and spaced out while she was drawing the blood. I don't remember any of it But when I came back out of it she told me she only took 3 vials vs my usual 10 so why I was all lightheaded she couldn't comprehend. That's going down in the journal for later just in case!

I'm back home with breakky & coffee and surfing the village. I'll need to get ready to go take my dad to his appointment later and then from there, its a lazy day for me!

    Have a good one y'all

Furnace repair guys will be back this morning. They at least had heat running for us last night but today they need to complete the switch over from the old system to the new one.
Still working on laundry and ironing today. Will work on cleaning the master bedroom and bathroom today. Still in the single digits so tonight I will make chicken and rice soup.

I need to seriously start doing decluttering and organizing again, so I am doing one cupboard of my kitchen today (baby steps), because Flylady is working in the kitchen. LOL.

    Vac the LR rug.

    Fold towels, and put away.

Clean kitchen counters, stove and sink.

It's freezing here today. Taco soup in the crockpot. Staying home all day. Cleaning kitchen, decluttering one container from the basement. Finish putting away the Christmas decor. Hope everyone is warm and cozy.

-3 loaves of white bread on their second rise
    -hamburger soup in the crockpot
    -laundry going
    -DD is making chocolate muffins

    Yet to do:
-put my chore binder together (printed the check off list type weekly planner thing from motivated moms.)
    -2 more loads of laundry
    -take DD to piano lesson
    -eat supper, clean kitchen
    -start a new book

    Have a great day!

It's a better day today. Yesterday I had so much pain I called in to work. No way I could have walked from the parking lot to the library. But today, though still hurting and hobbling, I can manage. It's always a relief when the edge of weather change passes.

This morning I listened to an audio and croheted a bit, pretending the dishes in the kitchen didn't exist. I'll deal with them tonight.

I'm leaving for work in about half an hour. Need to stop by the post office to mail off a couple of packages, and then go to the UPS depot (a few blocks past work) to drop off an Amazon return.

Tonight, more audio book and crocheting, and, um, the dishes. Quite a few. I couldn't deal with them at all yesterday.

Haven't been up to much of nothing today except working on this darned computer. Ran systems checks, defrag, scan disc & the like. Trying to make sure all the bugs have vanished, but it seems to be running a little slow...think it has a lot to do with the weather...all the snow interference since everything depends on satellite.

Getting ready to go downstairs & make dinner...guess today is going to be a very thrifty Thursday!

Happy Thursday! Gosh, is it the weekend yet? I am just drained! Went to work today. Bought clearance Christmas items for our school's holiday shop for the kids at CVS over my lunch break. So all in all, it was a no-spend day for me as I'll get reimbursed for those items.

Now I'm sitting here smelling the roast I have cooking in the crockpot (yum), and thinking I should get up and start the rest of the meal soon. What's a few more minutes, right?

I still need to do homework with the kids, throw a load of laundry in, and clean bathrooms tonight.

    Unhappy

    Thrifty Thursday:
    No coffee today.
Oatmeal porridge, HM toasted buns, grape juice.
Chores, phone calls, preps for unit repairs (my kitchen fan has needed fixing for 2 1/2 years, and it looks like that may happen yet.)
Garbage out; recyclables to curb, shovelled snow on side-walk, did dishes. Catching up on the internet, whic is poky-slow.

Have been feeling poorly for a few weeks. I think it's the water; supposed to be reverse-osmosis, but it tastes very bitter; tasted of pesticides in late fall, and now it just tastes rotten.
Constant nausea...feels like I've been toxified. Might have to use snow-water (melted, boiled 5 min., cooled & filtered) for drinking-water in order to clear my system. I did this one winter, and was well in 2 days, and enjoyed good health all winter. Will have to simplify my meals till I get to the bottom of whatever is making me so sick.
Uggghhhh! If it isn't one thing, it's another.
