    Default Thrifty Thursday, 8/12/2010

Work as usual from 8:30-5pm, with lunch here at the house (probably a bowl of cereal or a sandwich). I already know that teriyaki chicken and broccoli over rice will be what's for dinner, because I have all the ingredients for that here, so I'll probably thaw the chicken and make a pitcher of tea @ lunch. DH should make it home today! What's in the works for your Thrifty Thursday?

Today is the last day before school starts.
Trying to get some more decluttering done.
If I have time, I'd like to go to the bank to cash in all my coins I've been saving the last 6 months. I've got almost 2 ziplock bags full.
Hoping it's over $100.This is going straight to the EF.

I need to fold some towels and iron some clothes. Then it's off to work. If I have time I will give myself a manicure.

I'm having my hair cut and permed at the salon today. Not the most frugal thing, but I haven't had anything done with it in a year... other than cutting it myself.

Then grocery shopping. Wish I had more useable coupons, but I'll do the best I can with what I have.

~Sewing some fleece pj's for dd, making t-shirt baby wipes, hopefully sewing my diaper bag, finally cooking the roast tonight that I'd thawed(temps kept getting into the 90's by dinner and I didn't want to turn on the oven!),making hamburger rolls for the freezer, and a batch of cookies too I think. I'll be taking a walk after dinner as long as it isn't storming. Also, someone should be picking up a huge bag of stuff that we're Freecycling.
I spent the morning organizing the baby stuff shelf. Was supposed to do it yesterday but I opted to extend my visit at my mom's house to let the kids play with their cousin for a while.
I am soooo sleepy today. I hope I'm still motivated after my lunch hour. :/ ~

DH and I did some errands today. He did the hardware store and dropped off trash where a friend lets us (free).

I did the groceries and we stopped at a fruit stand where I got a nice looking cantaloupe, some tomatoes, and some corn.

Made dinner. Surfing the net. Watching TV.
