Thrifty Thursday, 8/4/11

Happy Thursday!!
I've been gone way too long! Time to get back to it!

Hope everyone is having a great summer, we have been super busy.

Just found out DH is deploying to Iraq for 9 months and leaving at the end of the month, so I'm busy getting my lists together of things that need to get done while he's home.

But for now??? I'm drinking coffee and LOVING being home today! In another hour I need to get busy. There is laundry to be done, the van to be cleaned out, bathrooms to be cleaned, and my bedroom straightened up. If I get that accomplished, I desperately need to mop. Ish!

Hectic am here so far. Packed up DH, his coffee & lunch and dropped him at work. Did breakky & clean up for dad and I.

Still need to:
* do banking & pay bills
* lunch with gf
* pedicure with gf
* figure out the size of my rings

don't ask
* laundry tonight

The rest is gravy

Cloudy day, cooler than it has been.

I've been dusting. We need to put a new filter on the a/c. Yowza.

I've really let the laundry get behind, I've sorted out 5 loads for today!

I'm on #4 in the washer.

Not the most thrifty day. I haven't been to the store for a while. It's just been too hot.

Bought a few groceries today. Still need to pick up a few more things.

I did use coupons to get these items free:
2 - dental floss
2- trial size deoderants
1-jif to go

I always thought it was a waste to use a coupon on a trial size, until I realized that it's better to have a free trial size than none at all.

Since it has cooled off, I'll be baking some cookies tonight.

I also picked up 4 boxes of clairol hair color from dollar general. They have it on sale for $2.75 each. I used two $5/2 and paid $1.07 for all 4.
