Thrifting Thursday

Can you tell what's on my mind today?

I'm hoping to go thrifting at my nearby little thrift store today IF they are open after a rennovation. It's been ages since I was able to go there....they've been closed.

What's everyone else up to today? It's cold here now but warmer than it has been at 24F. I've got a pretty light day ahead, so glad I got that desk cleared off yesterday! Whew!

~workout
~shower/hair/makeup
~sweep and mop floors (didn't get done yesterday)
~run into to town (mostly to get out of the house I've got cabin fever baaad!)
~go thrifting (woo hoo!)
~pick up a couple of things at Wally world
~pick up a couple of things at the grocery store
~supper...?

That's it for me today I think. Not too much on the agenda. Hope everyone has a warm and productive day.

Brrrr!!! It's a very cold, but bright & sunny morning here. It's about 1*. Our high today is only supposed to get up to 9*. Let's break out the shorts

It's a busy day for me. I'm about to get off to my morning class. Home just before lunch, work out, then hopefully get some laundry done before having to go pick up the kids then getting myself off to my evening class.

Gotta run the dishwasher and hopefully dh will pick up around the house a bit.

Hope you are able to find some bargains. I went to my favorite thrift store yesterday but came out with only a few paperback books for 25 cents each.

I went thrifting yesterday and was so happy with my finds. I bought two gargage sized bags full for only 28 bucks! Good brands too. Dd got some jeans she is in love with. It was so funny cuase they had a big group of teenage girls volunteering and tehy were all getting so excited about stuff they were seeing and makeig fun of ugly stuff. It was crazy in there but it was worth it cause everything I bought was half price.

No thrifting for me till about 2 weeks but for me today:

~ Straighten up around the house
~ Do a load of Laundry
~ Pick up DD from school
~ Drive DH to work
~ Supper???
~ Watch a movie with DD
~ Relax

Not much on my agenda today.

well my dd (age 4) just went to preschool till 11:30am, no kids for me this morning because my 2 foster kids went home tuesday, i will do dishes, laundry, vacuum, get dressed, go pick up dd from preschool, grocery shopping, bring dd home to take a nap, pick up my other kids, dinner, then hopefully relax. i've had a migraine the past 2 nights, please pray i don't get one tonight.......grrrrrr......they are horrible!!!

Today:
I went to a dental apt. (I have a root canal scheduled on Monday at 1pm

)
I have to pick up an antibiotic at the pharmacy
Buy stamps at the post office (valentine ones- I think they have a chocolate kiss on them)
I want to pick up my books on reserve at the library
make muffins
write out some bills & balance check book
vacuum (or get the fiance to later)

So far, I have:

*Got dd#1 off to school (it was cold out there waiting for the bus!)
*Made beds
*Stripped my bed and washed and dried sheets
*Threw some blankets in the washer for a rinse (in dryer now)
*Washed a few dishes
*Fed and dressed younger ones
*Fed all animals
*Cleaned out litter box
*Oh, and showered and dressed myself
*Relisted some items on Cathswap that haven't sold yet

Left to do today:
*Put clean sheets on my bed
*Vacuum
*List some more items on Cathswap
*Make up beer batter for onion rings
*Make some pumpkin bread
*Start working on a menu for next week/grocery list
*Fix dinner (smoked sausage links and homemade onion rings)
*Go to bed early tonight because of job interview tomorrow

Dh is going to be gone all day for training

so it's just me and the boys for a while.

So far I have woken up. haha. I don't have much to do today.

keep up with potty training. (making some progress)
lunch.
put away laundry.
empty dishwasher.
figure out what's for dinner that is easy to reheat.

It sure is Thrifting Thursday because I'm heading to Goodwill! After a spaghetti dinner on campus for the Vagina Monologues, and before I to the class I TA for and a research meeting. Then I'm packing for Vegas!

I'll be home all day today with sick kids. This has been a very frugal week simply because I haven't been able to get out of the house.

I slept late this morning so I haven't accomplished a thing so far.

I need to:
Make the bed
Feed the dogs
Fold a load of laundry from yesterday
Clean the kitchen
Read for school
Read for fun

Morning all....
Thus far:
Finished a really big cookie order-all packed up and ready to be picked up this afternoon.( And I get paid-woo-hoo!)
Need to go to the baking supply store-need food color, candy molds.etc...
cleaned the stove and kitchen today-got myself a small "steamer" that I love-gets into all those nooks and crannies!
Folded 2 loads of laundry
Made banana bread
Am planning a trip to Goodwill this afternoon-just to drop a load of stuff off (but maybe, just maybe I'll take a quick look around)
It is sunny and cold here today-just as January should be in New England.
