Thundering Thursday!

What's going on today? We are supposed to get thunderstorms later, I hope so! here today. DD's friend is coming over to be babysat today and tomorrow. Her mom and dad are having some major problems, so I said to jut bring her over here. Later will take them both to the libray, then they both have vaca bible school tonight.

Need to:
fix vacuum
laundry
pick up some clutter (where does it all come from)
water plants on lanai

It's a rainy morning here, I was glad to see it and happy that we won't have to water the yard and plants for a while!I was going to play tennis with my son, but looks like a change of plans. Maybe hit a few thrift stores and lunch.Have a good day all!

Hoping to get rain here today as well. I gave up watching the weather. They have been saying it's gonna rain every day, and nothing so far. I'll believe it when I see it. Fed critters, picked garden.

Still have more corn to cream and squash to put up today, pay a few bills, strip bedding & wash, run into town for aunt, and take her wash tubs back. Need to water fig and pecan trees this evening if it doesn't rain. Will pick and shell peas this evening too if it doesn't rain.

That's about it here at Possum Point!

Gosh, it's already hot and humid out there. We too are supposed to have thunderstorms this afternoon. I hope we get rain, the yard is just about dead. Today I have already:
~Gotten everyone up and fed.
~Made the beds.
~Swept the dining room and kitchen.
~Unloaded the clean dishes from the dishwasher.
~Took DS14 to weight training.
~Wiped down the bathrooms.
I still need to:
~Pickup DS14 @ 11 from weight training.
~Meet with a woman from Freecycle @ 12 to get some free cookbooks.
~Vacuum.
~Mop the dining room.
~Make dinner, clean up and hopefully find some time to relax and play Uno.

No thunder here. We didn't get ANY rain that we were forecasted to, imagine that At least it's a little cooler today.

I have to work this afternoon. After that, I have to put away laundry. Then make up some bacon for BLTs for dinner. The boys have their first t-ball game tonight This is their first year on the same team!!

We are suppose to have another rainy day here. I think it has rained every day for the last week or longer. I am ready for it to dry out!!

I need to start making a list of things we need to pack for our vacation next week. We are leaving Mon. afternoon and won't be back home until Tuesday the following week.

Our new washer is to arrive today. I can't wait to wash a load of clothes...lol!! We purchased a front loader, energy efficient washer.

Good morning everyone. I hope you all don't mind if I join you.

We finally had rain last night! That means I'll probably have to mow this weekend, for the first time in three weeks. We really needed this as the grass was starting to look bad and the rain gave me a break from having to water everything myself.

Dh has a job bid today (crossing my fingers that it comes through.....business has been so slow!) and Becky has a second job interview at the Shoe Carnival and hopefully that'll work out for her.

I'm staying home today so, no spent today and I'll conserve the gas we have in the truck. I did all of my errands yesterday when Meg had her braces put on. I went to the library and to Blockbuster and rented our FREE movies. I only spent $2.13 on tomatoes and white soda for dd6. At least in a couple of weeks, I can just walk out to the garden and pick my tomatoes and I won't have to pay for them anymore this year.

Today I need to:

Make the beds
Vacuum
Add pool chemicals
Make Pancakes and freeze for quick breakfasts.
Make a cake for dh
Make Homemade banana nut muffins and freeze for the older girls to take on their trip (camping with grandpa) next week.
Replant some plants in the yard
Pay dh's speeding ticket. Grrr.....to the tune of $93.00
If I have the time, I need to go through my freezer and pantry again and do another inventory and see how long I can make things last. If not today, I'll do it tomorrow.

Dinner will be chicken Parmesan and I'll defrost a couple extra and grill them for dh to have sandwiches for lunch.

Good morning!

It's hot here again but it's supposed to rain this afternoon. I hope it does so I don't have to water the gardens.

I have to run to cingular and get DH a new phone ~ he hates his and then DD and I are heading out to find her a futon for her new apartment. I may do lunch with her and DS but then again, maybe not.

After that, I need to get some housework done and do some stuff on the computer.

We are looking to adopt another dog and found one but I have to put it off for a week or so since I have a bunch of medical tests coming up next week and if they find something, I guess I'll have to do something about it. I don't want to have a new dog in the house and have to stick it in it's crate for days on end. If the one we are looking at is still up for adoption next week, then I'll figure we were meant to have him

Our power was out for 6 hours last night...major storms came through with 2 inches of rain, we needed the rain. Today, I am going to make peperroni rolls, vaccumn, go to the bank, laundry, and begin to pack for a vacation to TN with my family. We are living Sat. and going to be gone for a week. I need to do a ton of things to get ready for the trip.

It's gone from 90 degrees yesterday to a cool 68 right now. I've already done some grocery shopping (have to hit one more store tomorrow), on my 2nd load of laundry and I need to sweep & vacuum. My dogs are shedding like crazy!

It's going to another hot one here today. Yesterday's high was 96 and supposed to be that again today. I sure wish we could get some of that rain.
