It rained here overnight. We needed the rain, but the timing is a bit off. We have hay on the ground, and the wheat needs harvesting. But...you have to take rain when it comes and be thankful for it. The kids and I won't have to spend the afternoon and evening moving hoses from tree to tree, so that's a huge blessing!

This morning is my turn to lead VBS. Today, we're learning about John the Baptist, so I was up last night making locusts dipped in honey for the snack. (Well...they're supposed to look like locusts...LOL! I made buns with pretzel legs and raisin eyes and covered them with a honey glaze as they came out of the oven. My helpers will add the licorice antennae this morning.)

We have high school helpers, and they told me yesterday that they'd love to put on a play. So...I wrote out a little play for them to perform for the grade school kids and whipped out a very funny-looking John the Baptist costume from several different furry fabrics I had on hand to make teddy bears. I can't wait to see what the kids think of that!

It's going to be a very fun morning!

This afternoon, I've got to butcher a few roosters and clean up the house. If I have the time, I need to trim a hedge, too. I'm caught up on washing the laundry, but I have 2 loads waiting for me to fold and put away. It doesn't sound like I have much to do, but I know I'll likely not get it all done.

Hope you all have a great day!

    Good morning!

It's raining here too. No thunder yet. Looks like it will be raining all day so we'll be stuck in the house. Good thing we went to the library yesterday. We have books to read, dvds to watch, and lots of yummy treats from the Farmer's Market yesterday.

I do have a load or two of laundry to do (dh's work clothes that can't be hung out) and need to vacuum the downstairs too. General picking up and maybe the dusting that I haven't gotten to yet

The boys are supposed to have t-ball tonight, but with the rain I don't know if it will happen. Dh is working late tonight too.

It is going to be a hot one here today with a chance for thunderstorms.

Strength and conditioning is already out of the way for the day. I will run later with DS#3. He is my running buddy. He wanted me to wait until he came home from football camp.....like he won't be tired already. If he can't make it, I'll do it on my own. Gotta get it done!

I have laundry going and need to some minor housecleaning.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Well it stormed here last night big time. We are suppose to have some more today but so far nothing. But we really need the rain.

I plan to clean some more, finish the bathroom, read my book and just hang out. Make some pasta salads for tom party and get things around for that.

But overall I don't have a big day planned just hanging out and doing a lot of nothing.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

No rain here - although we could REALLY use some. Thursdays are pretty busy for us.....

...dropped DD off at her volunteer job
...having to keep an extra eye on the rabbit, he is crying again
...pick DD up from volunteer job
    ...go to DD's volleyball matches
...take both kids to batting practice
...DS needs to cut the front yard
    ...fix something for dinner
...DD needs to vacumm the pool
...watch big brother - and pray that Joe gets evicted, not Evil.

I know there is more, but I am still half asleep and cannot think. Have a great day y'all.

Has been overcast.Worked most of the day just cleaning- I have no clutter here of any sort, and the place is small so it doesn't take much to keep things neat. Hit a few thrift stores, found nothing. I stopped at a garage sale and they gave out a box- everything you could put in for a buck!I got a brass magazine rack for the bathroom, lighted magnifying glass,a small clock,a retro alarm clock,a cookbook, several pieces of costume jewelry and a writing tablet.Plan to have supper, then walk if it isn't raining. Will stay another night and just come home Friday.
