Tightwad Tuesday 2/9/10

Today is a day of more cleaning and finishing up 3 loads of laundry. I also have to:

~Bake cookies for Olivia's class party tomorrow
~Pick up fruit for said party
~Call all companies we owe money to and see if balances match
~Put money in bank
~Pay some bills
~Possibly shovel some snow!

No school again today. Everyone is home and it's pouring the snow again.

I'm doing laundy and dishes so they are all done before the 65mph winds hit and maybe take out the power.

I'm also doing little household chores today, trying to wade through this disaster zone a little at a time.

I'm also thinking of rearranging things. I really need a place for all these boots, winter coats and coveralls. My living room/kitchen is one big room. When you walk into the front door, there you are, right in the middle of everything. And right now there are boots, coats and coveralls all over the place. Right in the path to the living room. It's a mess and it's making me nuts!

Dinner tonight will be sliders and french fries with some veggies and fruit!

The kids are home today for yet another snow day! Gah! I love winter but dislike snow..does that make sense? lol

Today I plan to:
-work (have only about 6 patients to visit since I did most of them yesterday)
-2 loads of laundry
-help DH finish DS's room. He painted it yesterday, has to do the finishing touches today
-leftovers for supper
-go to my first FPU class tonight yay!!

Today is a snow day (again...)! I will:
~fold clothes
~work on dyslexia class homework
~read
~knit (hats!)
~rest and gaze out at the beautiful snowy countryside!
~maybe bake a cake if I get ambitious

I think I'll be staying home today. No money and it's tooooo cold.

Fold and put away one load and wash/dry another.

finish ds' taxes before he comes home this weekend.

maybe make some zucchini/pineapple bread.

Today - after rush hour the plan is-
Return the rental car somebody tried to steal mine and did $953 in damage in the FAILED attempt to hotwire it)
Post Office - buy some stamps and get a passport application
Groceries
School
Finish some paperwork from yesterday
Call my dad
Fix dinner - baked potatoes with cheese, broccoli and bacon bits

1. Back to the work today, tons of paperwork since I took a sick day off yesterday.
2. Get boss to sign partial unemployment cert.
3. Put together wedding present package for mailing tomorrow.
4. Dinner: stir fry beef & veg, soup, + leftovers
5. Start preparation & cooking for 1 or 2 dishes for freezer.
6. Check Costco coupons & our inventory to see what should we get this month or wait until next time. I just started a 'price book' to do a comparison & record what & when we need certain items.
7. Do online bill paying tonight - starting to do a weekly payment to the cc's

Okay, that's plenty to keep me occupy. Hope you all have a good day.

Did a load of darks and scrubbed out the tub we don't have a water softner and we have iron and hard water uggg! I also dusted and vacuumed and shoveled the drive. Got the mail. Need to make dinner Chicken enchiladas and wild rice.

Another busy day! Went to work today, and now I'm back home with little motivation! This weather makes me tired!

I need to start a load of laundry, make sure the woodstove is going, make supper, and then help kids with homework. Hopefully catch a little American Idol later!

I got my new mattress today! I am soooo excited.

I spent most of the day taking care of one sick kid, then helping the other with his valentines for school tomorrow. Made some crockpot chicken parmesan and brown rice penne, then headed to Superstore and picked up some goodies. I got a couple of hanging decorations for $1.99 each and then some snack stuff. I paid for everything in cash!

did my pool exercises after school.
The only thing I must do tonight is to work on our taxes and then I must finish them up tomorrow night for my meeting with our accountant on Thursday. It's 6PM, I've had dinner and now I'm going to devote the next three hours to taxes (while watching TBL too!!)

Today was my off day and I was worthless!! I am telling you!! I didnt accomplish much!! I slept most of the day away. My BF Lee starts working overnights tonight. I am really kind of sad about that. But we will make the best of it.

I did clean up the kitchen.
Went and got some milk.
Got some pictures developed for the scrapbook I am working on.
Played some seek and find games on computer.

That is all I have done. Worthless, I told ya!!
