Tightwad Tuesday, 3/23/10

Good morning!

It's morning already!?! Actually, I'm on a roll this morning. I'm ready for work minus packing my own lunch. I've packed the kids lunches, and now am enjoying some coffee before I have to start waking everybody up. Spent the time praying for oldest dd11 in regards to her very mean spirited "best" friend. Her frenemy, you could say! She is just a truly malicious little gal, and my dd refuses to stand up to her for fear of retaliation. And the worst part is the other little gal is brilliant, so teachers think she is an amazing person. Plus her mom's chairman of the school board, so everybody is extra-attentive around her. Ugh, so back to my original thought, please say a prayer for my dd today!

Today is a work day for me, so after work I need to get busy and attack the kids' bedrooms. With their help, of course. They are too big not to help out. And then I need to haul a load of garbage to the dump. If I'm not too pooped out after all that I will steam mop my hardwood and tile floors.

No work today for me. I'm just relaxing and surfing the net. Need to get a shower. Going out to lunch with dh he's got an interview this morning hope he gets the job! He's been out of work for 6 months! Going to the movies to see Sherlock homes for $3 for both of us!

Have a pretty long WM list today. Better get over there.

Then a stop at my regular grocery to get meat and stuff (don't buy WM's meat very often.

Trying to go through the sun room where DS#2 dumped a bunch of his stuff (coats and stuff he won't be needing whilst living in FL), and organize it. Hope he appreciates this. Grr.

I also have a load of his laundry in washing.

I need to buy a couple of shower gifts, too. One baby, one wedding. I practically don't know these people. Said HI to them each, like once, when introduced. Ugh. Glad they're registered. I have no idea what they'd want.

I got up a little later than I wanted - but still got in some time on my portfolio that is due tomorrow!!

Getting ready to head to the other side - was subpeoned yesterday to appear as a witness in a custody battle. Shall head home ASAP to get back to work on my portfolio!! At least I have a sub for the whole day.

Physio rehab dude came to asses my dad around lunchtime - he sees my dad's stubbornness completely. Once my bro gets here, I will head to the bank, pick up some insulin and head to my diabetes class. En route home, I will pick up groceries quickly to make dinner.

So far I've tidied up the house and taken out the trash. Will need to wheel that out once I get home tonight.
