    Default Tightwad Tuesday, 8/3/10

    We spent the morning running around hanging up Avon posters and putting out the new catalogs... trying to drum up some business!

    The kids won a free slice of pizza from the convenience store in town from the Summer Reading Program at the library, so we stopped and got those for lunch. I got myself 2 egg rolls. Yum!

    I'm thinking of taking the kids over to Art in the Park this evening. Its a free thing the town puts on every Tuesday during the summer at a little park with a gazebo here in town. Tonight is a local vocalist and accoustic guitarist performance.

    ~Spent the morning at my mother's house and trimmed her hair. I also picked up the new car seat that was a present from my parents for the baby.
    The afternoon was spent doing desk work, paperwork, bills and all that boring stuff. Then I moved on to the kids' room project. I removed the painter's tape and touched up a few areas with a tiny brush. Then I started pulling up the carpeting.
    I'm glad my parents picked up the kids for Bible School tonight because this is hard and dirty work. My poor dd would be sneezing her head off with all the dust. :/ ~

    Made 4 meat loaves. Also made 8 loaves of bread. Also stopped by the local thrift and found 4 pairs of boys winter pajamas for 99 cents each.

    DS's 15th birthday

    Took DS to morning football practice then to evening practice.
    Went to DS's 3 on 3 basketball tournament. His team won it for the 2nd year in a row.
    Took DD to and from work.
    Went to the Dollar Tree for some balloons and cards for DS.
    Picked up DD a couple of shirts and one for DS.
    Had cake and presents with DS, DD and DH after a very late dinner. DS racked up - over $300 cash for his birthday.

    Now, I am off to bed.
