    Default Tightwad Tuesday, 1/4/11

    Good morning!

Well, I'm upright today, so that's a start! DS was sick yesterday, and then I didn't feel so great either. So I climbed back in bed for a couple more hours yesterday morning, which helped. I needed it, it was a whirlwind day! I had to run to town to get ds' birthday presents for his birthday, which is today. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, MOM!

And unfortunately today is even crazier. I work today, but since it's ds' birthday, my tradition is I will take the kids fast food for lunch. Their choice. Then after school, youngest dd has Daisy Scouts where I need to pick her up early as it's Girl Scout Cookie Time! Hooray. Hate peddling stuff.

Somewhere in between all of this going we will have cake and let ds open his gifts. At 6:30, oldest dd has bball practice again and I have a PTA meeting. Not sure if I'll go to it or not, we'll see how I'm feeling.

YAY, the fire is going down here! Have a great day!

Upright is good & so is getting that fire going.

Dh did go with me yesterday but didn't pick out even one book at the library, how can anyone do that?! He was patient while I picked out 18 of them & that was nice. I'm all excited and even got a 2 week book. I love the JD Robb "In Death" series & they had her newer one there. I usually don't get those 2 week books because of spending gas $ to bring them back so soon. I'll just have to incoroporate it into one of my few outings. All my pretties are sitting next to me on a desk just waiting to be read. Woot!

Not much on the agenda besides reading, doing some housework and I have to go down to the freezer and pick out something for dinner. I'm leaning towards ham or chicken...
Off to go hang laundry. Be cool, don't drool.

Good morning. Vanessa please tell your little man happy birthday. I feel for you, I remember too well how much fun it was to push GS cookies. When my DD was in scouts I took the forms to work with me and sold almost 700 boxes! Then when they came in for delivery I was on maternity leave with DS. Picture a woman with a 9 1/2 lb baby in a rocking seat carrying a diaper bag, a purse, and a big box of cookies. Needless to say it took me a couple of weeks to diliver those cookies and I swore never again, DD would have to settle with orders from family members only.
I got up at 8:30 sweating around my neck, fun fun. I'm now enjoying some coffee. I have to go into town later and run some errands. DH lost a lense from his new reading glasses last night and Riteaid has them on sale and I have lots of coupons to use up. I'm still working on the office a little at a time. I have some dishes to put away and dinner will be the last of the leftover spaghetti. I need to do some reading sometime, just not sure when. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning everyone - er should I be saying Good Afternoon? Been up since before 6am and I feel like I've gotten tons done but nothing at the same time. Don't you hate that feeling?! I know when you wake up earlier you tend to get more done - its a new feeling I need to get used to.

So far I've shoveled the driveway/sidewalk, emptied dishwasher and reloaded a few things into it, made breakky w/coffee for DF & I, driven DF to work and vacuumed (setting out the Roomba at 6am is fun! )

Now what do I do?! DF is at work, first time apart from each other all day in EONS since he broke his ankle. That kinda forced us to be living together then planned but not by much.

I know I need to declutter/purge/organize - just not sure where I'll tackle first?

    Good Morning all!
Glad to see everyone up and at it this morning. I have been really productive this morning. Washed a load of laundry and got them hung outside on the line for a change. Yay me!
I have also cleaned the kitchen, the bathroom room and the litter box..I have been searching for a few baby coupons for a friend.
I really need to go to the library..I have 3 that need to be taken back but I am still reading one of them..Maybe I will drop by there this afternoon for a minute or two.

Now its time for me to head to my paying job..

Good Morning, Today I'm washing towels, washed two bathroom floors, fed the birds, sprinkled freshner on the carpet and will vacuum soon. I made pumpkin muffins, cleaned out the litter box and emptied the garbage to the outsided garbage can. Need to clean the freezer and fridge out. Have a Happy Tuesday all!

    Good morning everyone!!

Happy birthday to your son Vanessa!!

Today I will be spending the day cleaning and doing laundry. I have no clue how a family of 3 goes through so many clothes! I can'timagine what it will be like with 4 of us soon.

I really need to get it all cought up and then stay on it so it does not take me a week to finish it!! lol

I will also be painting the first coat of paint on the bottom of the walls in the babys room. I am hoping it takes no more then 3 coats, so that I can get the room together on Friday. I still have to get the border, but I am waiting to purchase it until we are ready to put it up.

Dinner is in the crockpot, we are having pot roast! Delish one of my favs.

    Everyone have a wonderful day!!

I'm chiming in a bit late here today!

I spent the day getting paperwork together and filling out an application for the bankruptcy trustee that I am seeing tomorrow.

After that fun, I went to the dollar store and Walmart for some craft supplies. My best friend is getting married soon and I have 3 showers to attend. I can't spend a ton of money getting presents for all of them - are you even supposed to do that? -anyhow, I'm making a project for the one this Sunday.

I'm making a cookbook for her because she is super-busy and has a work schedule similar to mine. I have a bunch of tried and true recipes that take a couple of hours of prep on the weekend and then no more than 10 minutes a day for a great dinner. I'm doing it in "scrapbook" style, using a little spiral bound hardcover sketch book. I hope she likes it.

    Today I felt very productive!

Tomorrow is my last day off before going back to work! Boo - I've had a lot of fun with the girls during my time off. However the bank account requires my presence at work!
