This week (and the weekend) has been all about baking and cooking ahead for Christmas. Got a lot of iced sugar cookies done, so....

So today, I am going to frost the yule log that is chilling in the fridge, and freeze it.....then make another log, chill and frost (for the other side of the family).

Hope to start making some Buckeyes today (that's peanut butter balls to you folks who are not from Ohio).

And go up in the attic and check out my stash of gift bags and see what I have that 'fits' some of the unwrapped gifts.

Hoping to get alot of baking done today. I wanted to get a haircut but we had freezing rain last night and the roads are not something I want to be driving on today. So it will be the day to get those cookies and cakes done!

I remember buckeyes! My parents helped run a mission when I was a kid. There was this super awesome older guy named Ed. He started as a resident but was hired as a cook and care taker and lived on site. I remember every Christmas as a kid making Buckeyes in the kitchen with Ed! LOL this was in UT not Ohio.

I ABSOLUTELY have to write out my card today and go mail a package out. I need to also do some book work.

still have not got cards out going to do this today.... mailed out packages this morning cost grandma $89 . want to make cookies dough also. better get to it.

I'm babysitting our youngest granddaughter today, so won't get a lot done, but it would be nice if I could manage to make some cookies for the freezer...

DH took our newest dog (all strays/rescues) to the vet to get her spayed today. That is a tightwad thing in the sense that it is very much cheaper to get an animal spayed than to be having puppies to raise or to find good homes for them...over and over again.

I really feel like crocheting, but there are no 'candidates' on my gift list who need or want anything crocheted. :/

I did the usual AM rigamarole then popped into the post office to mail out ALL the cards by the deadline - which is today

Met up with a gf to get a manicure (gotta love the group discount sites!) It was a bargoon too good to pass up! Had lunch out too then popped into Costco for a few things. Also managed to pick up a few more things for DH's gift and am now waiting to go pick him up.

We took Diva Boo in to get her photo done with Santa, because she had a doctor's appointment in town. We spent some time with my Mom and had lunch before our appointment. Then we headed home and I wrapped some presents and cleaned up the kitchen.

I finished folding clothes and mailed off the Christmas cards before work and now I am waiting on DH to get home from his drive so we can reheat leftovers. No-cook night, gotta love it!
