    Default Tightwad Tuesday

    Hi Gang! Not very frugal here today. I have to put my van in the shop, it's probably going to be $300.00 to fix. I also had to buy scrubs for my new job that I start tomorrow-they are so expensive! I was spoiled at my last job, they used to purchase them for us. Unfortunately, only one set still fits me from that job. Now I realized I need new sneakers, too. I can't win.

    Today I will be home, without my car. I have to take it to a dealer about 30 minutes away. My mom will bring me back, but first-breakfast at Cracker Barrel! I love that hash brown casserole!

    Take van to dealer for repairs *DONE
    Cracker Barrel breakfast with mom *DONE
    balance checkbook and pay bills *DONE
    check Paypal balance *DONE
    get clothes ready for consignment
    general pickup *DONE
    wash DH shirt for softball (will this season never end!!) *DONE
    water flowers
    spend 15 minutes in basement *DONE
    take pictures and list auctions
    plan dinner *DONE

    Have a great day!

    Breakfast: Cracker Barrel
    Lunch: hot dogs and iced tea
    Dinner: ???

    The kids went back to school today... Oh how I miss them (NOT) LOL...... I went to walgreens last night and dug thru the clearance stuff, I got crayola gel paper pads (4 black, 2 red ) .25c a pad. 6 boxes each of crayola (16ct) crayons..6 "Mixed up" colors and 6 pearl colors, .12c each. these will go great with the water color paints, markers, colored pencils, regular crayons, theme books, glue, glue stix, ect, I bought at back to school sales. I also bought a shoe box full of glitter bottles (brand new) at a yard sale for .25c. All these goodies will make great art kits for the kids on my Christmas lists. I also got some large plastic shoeboxes at the $ store 2/$1.00 a while back. I will decoarte and personalize them with fabric paints.

    Good morning all! Today is another day at work...ho-hum! Today I have 3 packages to mail for books I sold and then tonight we are going to a friend’s house for dinner. I baked a cake last night to take for dessert. I also made zucchini muffins out of the surplus zucchini my MIL gave me.

    Last night I clipped a bunch of coupons so I hope to go grocery shopping either tonight or tomorrow.

    Hope you all have a great day!

    AYLASMOMMY– I tried to PM you but it said your inbox was full. I was going to email you but I lost your email! Oops! If you can, email me at bjohnson@orpro.com. Thanks!

    Hi there! I am STILL cleaning our old house! We moved last week and I am still putting stuff away and cleaning! I hate moving! It is also military housing so we basically have to go over it with a toothbrush. Inspection is tomorrow. That's why I have been MIA for about a week. Moving with 2 kids is hard work! I never knew my dd could whine so much. Anyway, I will be done tonight and and will be back around here more often.

    Okay. I haven't joined in on these yet but I want to start.

    Get up 1 hour late!
    Run by the store for bread, ham, cigs.
    Arrive at work 20 min. late.
    Get the mail ready to go out.
    Clean the upstairs office cause bankers are coming tomorrow.
    Play on the computer.
    Make sandwiches for dh and ds who are also working here.
    Play on the computer.

    I hope to go to the Chiropractor tonight and will do a load of laundry when I get back home.

    I just hate to be late. Gets my whole day off track.

    Well, I'm going to jump in late here....

    DD's both had check ups at the doctor this AM. They are both doing well DD#2 will be starting some new meds with the nebulizer, which should helpo her breath better. She's too young to be diagnosed w/asmtha, but we a re treating it as such

    After the dr's, ew treated the girls to McDonalds. For the 4 of us, we only spent $3.00! That was because McDonalds sent us gift certificates after I filed a complaint against them on planetfeedback.com

    Now that we're home, the girls are resting. Having shots takes alot out of you! We are going to have a lazy day, maybe watch a video. Have a great day everyone!

    Kelly, your DD is not too young to be diagnosed. My DD2 has had asthma since she was 11 months old. It's not severe, goes with the weather and environment changes and/or exercise induced. A chest Xray will confirm the diagnosis. HTH

    Kelly, How long did it take you to get the gift certificates after you complained?
    I also sent a complaint through planet feedback, but haven't gotten so much as an emailed 'i'm sorry' from them yet
    can't remember how long ago..but a LOT longer than I usually get a response.

    I am still looking for a place & only have 4 more weeks until I have to move YIKES! This is a lot harder this time, I find places but they either are too expensive or in the middle of nowhere.
    I will be so happy when this whole ordeal is OVER WITH...

    ATTN Kelly & Aylasmommy: In your above postings about the
    McDonald's complaints you filed on planet feedback, is that
    site just for McD's? Reason I'm asking is that I recently filed
    a complaint w/ Taco Bell & have not heard a thing.............

    Anyway, getting to my day, I worked all day so it was fairly
    frugal.

    Not much on the agenda at home tonight except, bath, plan
    tomorrow's work clothes, make lunch etc. May not be so frugal
    tomorrow as I have to run errands at lunch.

    B = Rice Krispie's, milk, water
    L = I ate out a cafeteria today
    D = PBJ sandwich, chips

    Have a great remainder of the day
