What's everyone up to? How's the weather?

For me it's another funeral today.... Since Christmas it's been at least 1 per week sometimes 2.... . Anyway I've got a few other things to do as well.

    ~workout
~strip bed and wash and remake
~pack for my trip to Dallas
    ~do my nails
    ~go to funeral
~order a new cord for my laptop
    ~pay a bill
~have house in order before I leave
~call my sister about when I'll pick her up tomorrow

I think that about does it for me today. Hope everyone has a great day!

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

*We're debt freeeeeeeee! (including the house)*

It's a whooping -15 here right now and I am trying to get motivated to go out and do the livestock chores, Will have to get all the waters ice free and that just takes much more time!
And have a stack of bills to pay up, since no postal service yesterday I let them pile up.
Then the house is even in worse shape with the 3 day weekend so that will have the rest of my time.
    So no spending to day.

Well for me it's the usual:

~ Wake up and get DD up for school
    ~ Drive DD to school
    ~ Let doggies out
    ~ Straighten up house
~ Load dishwasher for next wash
    ~ Reheat/Cook dinner
~ Watch a movie with DD
    ~ Relax

It's pretty chilly out today which means I am not going anywhere but staying home

Dh let me have some "me" time today which was very much needed. He has a flexible schedule and Tuesday is usually a slow day for him. (Monday's are really busy)

I walked to the English bookstore in town and bought a book about the "Georgian Feasts". It's part cookbook, part ethnographic information. I just wanted to know what I'm eating when I go to a friend's house....lolThen I did some window shopping. Saw some really cute dresses I could get for the girls for next year, but am debating on whether or not to buy them.
We ate leftover chili for lunch and will have leftovers from my friend for supper. So a nice relaxing no-cooking day for me. (just reheating on the stove)

I'm always working on laundry as long as we have water. Today I'm working on "stripping" some diapers that got too much detergent on them the last time I washed them......

So far I got both kids to school, the dogs fed and "romped" in the yard(sidewalks are icy so no walk today). I got the ground beef thawing for dinner and just started a load of laundry. I have to run out and get pull-ups for ds2 but then I'm done and can concentrate on housework--yippee.

We have a cold front coming in. woke up this morning and it was 62, but the high today is supposed to be around 50, so is just gonna get colder. I have meatballs in the crockpot for dinner tonight, going to make meatball subs and a salad. Other than that my only plans today will be to follow my 2 year old around and clean up her messes. Hope all the w2s come in the mail today so I can get taxes done.

I'm sorry Lisa. That has to be really hard on you.

It's 32º today--tomorrow will be our really cold day. I had to chip ice off my windshield today--even after the car warmed up for 15 minutes w/defrost on.

Anyway, today's main mission is to tackle Mt. Laundry. I'm on load #3 now, so not too bad. So my plans:

~take kids to bus stop *DONE

    ~laundry

~exercise. I've actually been missing it.

~straighten up this room (always the messiest in the house since we spend most of our time in here)

~continue watching Season 1 of Lost. I wish I had started watching this from the beginning--it's so good!

~practice my knitting & getting my tension right

    ~pay bills online *DONE

~set up online account for bill paying for Cap. 1 *DONE

    ~vacuum living room & stairs

    ~clean bathrooms

    Have a great day everyone

Today its cold out. It was zero out when I got up. The boys are at school and dh is at work. Laundry is going. I did the bathrooms, and all the usual chores. Not going anywhere except to take yds to his after school activity. Dh will pick him up on his way home from work. Baked pasta is on the menu for supper tonight. Have a good day and keep your military in your thoughts
