natural gas going up 20%

Our power company just got approved for a rate hike and there may be more

Guess we will really be looking into doing all those things to tighten up our house as we heat with gas. water heater is gas and so is my range.

so new windows, a tankless water heater will be moved up our list of priorities. time to also check our furnace

A friend emailed me this morning said he just got notice the town he lives in went up 30% ,it's about 30 miles from here.Guess I'll be living in my kitchen again next winter.

Who approves these rate hikes? I wish I knew!

I sure am not getting a cost of living increase in my income to meet all these "rate hikes".

We are currently paying $1.191763 per CCF, that's up about 25 cents from what we were paying 3 months ago. That cost is not including the service charge or sales tax we have to pay either! I wish we would have kept our wood burning furnace attached to our gas furnace. When we had our wood furnace it also heated our water during the Winter...which really confused the gas company

! Our bills would run less during cold weather than they did during warm weather.
