What is AC temp set at?
This heatwave has me using the ac earlier than I thought I would. Right now I have the ac set at 83 degrees from 11:30 am - 11:45 pm. Then it is set at 84 degrees from 11:45 pm - 11:30 am. With the fans going it really is quite comfortable. And I am on the second floor! (in a "cave" LOL)
So what temperature do you have your ac set at?

I hate to be hot. I can't tell you how much I really hate to be hot or even the least bit warm. I keep our set around 68*-70*. DH will come home and jack it up to 73* just to annoy me. As soon as I notice it, I change it.
Sweaty is not my best look. LOLDD (19)

We have two units - upstairs and downstairs. I keep both set at 77-78, and sometimes just shut the downstairs one off. Part of our high temp issue is the humidity here in TN/KY.

I keep it at 78 or 79 during the day. We've been turning it off at night and opening upstairs windows, but may not be able to do that for much longer. During the summer in Southern Nevada it doesn't generally cool off at night.
The good news is that the solar screens we invested in towards the end of last summer do seem to be doing their job. Here it is 1 p.m.; I'm working upstairs and I still don't feel hot enough (in the master bedroom where my work computer is located) to turn on the air conditioner even though it's over 90 outside. Yesterday the high was in the mid 90's; I took my daughter out most of the day and my husband didn't turn the air conditioner on when he got home from work. When I got back at 5 p.m. the thermostat only read 82. So we probably could have gotten by without turning it on at all, but I wimped out and turned it on until bedtime.

Unfortunately, summer has not yet arrived in Minnesota.
But when it does, the A/C is set at 78 degrees. When my girls are with their dad, I don't turn on the A/C unless it's unbearably hot. I really hate to see a high electric bill.

I keep mine set between 77-79 nearly all summer. Of course, it's summer nearly all year here.
Right now I just turned it up to 79; looks like rain may be coming shortly.

Set to OFF! It's actually pretty nice here still. Mid 70's out. I keep the shades closed so it doesn't get too sunny and hot, and the apartment stays pretty cool. Ask me again in August!

Mine is set on 80 during the day and 85 at night. I have 2 ceiling fans in the kitchen and 1 in the living room.
I have 5 west windows in my kitchen so when the sun gets on that side of the house (mid afternoon) it does get hot in here. But cooler than outside.
When that happens we go down stairs it is about 10-15 degrees cooler down there.Debra

I set it at 80 degrees all the time. When kids gone for night or if we are all gone it goes off, and if I get a little moody, and sick of being hot I turn to 75, by the time it actually gets to 75 I usually turn back to 80. LOL
