Default I got my magicjack *spinoff*

I posted a thread about me cutting out the home phone, well I got my magicjack in the mail today and I have to say it works perfectly!

The calls are clear and it's flawless.

Now check this out: I called my local phone company to cancel service and here was their response.

"May we ask, why you are cutting service?" Yes, I got unlimited calling for only $20 a year, "May we ask with whom?" Sure magicjack.

She goes through her records and here's what we come up with:

I currently was paying $80 a month for both phone and internet, so she offers me $40.99 if I keep the same services I have now, which is phone and internet.

Had I disconnected the phone I would have went to paying $45.99 a month + taxes. I was like HECK YEAH I will keep the phone, it's cheaper for me + I am saving.

So instead of paying $80, I am paying about $45 with taxes, saving me $35 a month, had I turned off the phone and only kept internet I would have had to pay $50 a month, so it's like getting home phone for FREE! YAY!

Well DH and I agreed that we already paid for it, might as well use it, since he travels for work sometimes, it would benefit him + it also gives us a 2nd line at home.

WOW! I would say you did good, especially getting the phone company to lower the bill to keep you as a customer!

It is great to save, when I pay my bill in 2 weeks I will have a $40 credit, which means I dont have to worry about July's bill, so that's a plus too!
