Outside Oven?
Does anyone own an oven that is used outside? I'm assuming one would be powered by burning wood?
I've looked into solar ovens and am thinking of purchasing one but would also like to know about other options.
Thanks in advance

I'm thinking about using my toaster oven outside to keep the house cool. I'm also thinking of getting a hot plate for the same reason.

We have used our gas grill as an oven, we made chickens, turkeys, pizza and even a cake.
I heard the solar powered versions are really small, great for one person, maybe 2, after that, you need a second one...
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

We dont have one but are actively looking into an adobe style oven for outside. We do have a large cook stove that uses wood but dh has not had the time due to overtime to build me an outdoor summer kitchen.
But I do like the adobe kind.

I made a Solar Oven out of a box and aluminum foil. It worked so well I was able to make homemade spaghetti sauce with ground turkey in it. (Cooked the turkey first, then added the sauce).
You can make a solar oven, you don't need to buy one.

I have an oven that you plug into the wall and place on a countertop. I think it is made by Oster. My husband bought it for me right before Thanksgiving years ago because I was complaining about not having enough oven space. It will cook a 26 lb. turkey or bake a cake. You can also use it like a "crock pot". I love it because it can be plugged in and used outside, not in the rain of course. My husband bought mine at Target.

Never really heard of an outside oven or solar oven. Sounds interesting. We use our gas grill but never thought of pizza, I might try it. Thanks.
