    Default Pellet Stove

We decided to get a pellet stove. Hubby is fed up with the oil prices. We had a dealer come to the house yesterday to tell us where the best place would be for us to install it. lo Hopefully we will have it installed over the summer and we will stock up on pellets as well.

Two of my sons use wood pellet stoves.
We considered that route ourselves but the way our house is set up, it was not a good option for us.
We just bought a outside wood furnace.
One thing you want to consider is the possibility of your
house fire insurance maybe going up, due to having a stove
    inside the house.

One thing my son fiqured out, is when and if the stove needs cleaning because the fire is not staying lit.
He had to tear the stove almost apart to fiqure out what ailed
it. The pipe had narrowed down and was not letting the right amount of air come in, to keep the fire going.
One dealer he asked about it, was a real snotty person.
He wanted nothing to do with it, because the stove was
not bought from him. Stove had came with the house,
when the son bought it, last year. Son had no idea where
    the stove came from.

I called up my insurance co and as long as I get a permit they are fine with us getting a pellet stove.

We've had one for years, the only increase in our insurance was $15 a year. The pellet stove is much different than the wood stove, ours will shut itself down if it gets to hot so as no chance of fire.
Our stove will heat our whole house, and we haven't ran the furnace in about 8 years.
Like everything else the costs of pellets increase yearly, but its still so much cheaper than using power for me. And I can heat all winter for aprox. 425. thats not bad.
