I hang most of my laundry, unless it is damp weather. Then they take too long to dry and get funky smelling.
It really does make a difference in the electric bill.

I hang my clothes out nearly all year long. I only use my dryer in very cold weather. They would still dry just fine (we don't have very bad winters here), but the cold is very hard on my hands - maybe if I wore gloves to hang the clothes out, I wouldn't even have to use it then LOL.

I use my clothesline exclusively unless it's raining for too many days and I run out of uniforms for work. I've only used the dryer maybe 2-3 times since the beginning of May.
I live in Ct- and would love to continue to use the clothesline in the winter- will they dry with it being so cold? I would think they would just freeze!
I was thinking about having DH hang a retractable line in our closet-it's certainly big enough!

My DH is funny... he won't let me put a clothesline up in our yard, but I made him put a retractable one up in my garage - I've been hesitant to use it because of the exhaust fume potential...
Any thoughts on that? I'd really like to stop using the dryer.

I have been hanging my towels in the basement on lines that I just recently put up. We use so many towels a day so it should make a difference in our electric bill.
