Water & electricty used by dishwasher?
Does any know how much water and electricity are used each time the dishwasher is run? I run my dishwasher with the dry setting off. I was wondering how much I could save by cutting back on using my dishwasher, or if it really saves that much.

I don't know about water, but I shut mine off for a month and only saved about $1 on my electric bill. I use it about every 3 days.

I don't know about mine yet. I just started washing dishes by hand about two weeks ago. My dw runs for 1 1/2 hours on the energy save dry mode. I figure I have to save something by turning it off. I don't know how I'll find out though. Our AC runs 24/7 since it's so hot here. I never know what our bill will be
