Update...Tankless Hot water heater
The verdict is definitely in for me...I just love our thw heater! We finally have a bill for a full billing cycle's use, last year we used 52 CCFs for this billing period and this year it is down to 24 CCFs!!! Not only did we use more than 50% less gas, our bill dropped by $23.90 even with the ridiculous price increases!

WoW! We are looking to replace our water heater in the next few years and due to space concerns and bills getting higher, we were thinking about getting a tankless.
Glad to hear of your input! Thanks!

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

We plan to switch to a tankless system once our HWT goes.

$2000.00, the unit itself was $1649 not including the add-on stuff that was needed. We got a deal on install cost since the owner is a friend of the family. I honestly think that anyone who is kind of handy would be able to install one themselves...it is relatively simple. My hubby would have installed ours if it weren't for medical issues he has.

Wow I am glad it's working out for you! We cant get one at least not for a while, we just got a new heating system and hot water heater installed and with the money it cost, I don't see us updating to a tankless anytime soon.

I have an uncle who installed one of these at his lake house when he remodeled. He loves it. I think my mom and her husband are looking into one of these units, too.
