    Talking Natural Gas Bill...way down

Just checked out our gas bill for this month & it is way down from last year at the same time !!! Last year we used 337 CCF's & this year we are down to 124 CCF's !!! Both readings were actual too so that's a plus for comparison purposes. That's a savings of $189.90 even with the increase in the cost per CCF!!!

I am so glad we had a new furnace & tankless hotwater heater installed!!! I can't imagine what the bill would have looked like had we not.

WAY TO GO!!! What is the CCF? We measure in kilojoules

I was comparing bills from last year too, we're using 33% of what we were last year. The only major thing I did, is turn down the thermostat to 17ºC. Today I turned it to 16..lol. The only time it kicks on is at night of if we're out of the house and don't put wood(free) on the fire. So at those times, we don't NEED the house warm I *might* set it to go a smidge warmer for when we are waking up at 6 am... but only for 15 minutes.

It's the unit of measure they use here in the states for natural gas...other than that I'm not sure exactly how much gas a CCF is.
