Default Ahead on our utilities bill! :)

DH and I have been paying every two weeks on half of what the bill is. If it's $270, we pay $135 every two weeks for the bill. If the bill goes up or down, we adjust.

I got the Enmax bill this morning in email and the amount we owe before May 17th is $133.57! We're about half a month ahead on our bill because they moved the due date ahead at least two weeks. It was originally the beginning of the month, but somehow it got moved to the middle of the month. I think it's because April has five weeks in it (or basically three paydays for us)

We're still paying the same amount we've paid for a while, but it just goes to show that paying half of the bill every two weeks is really nice!

Yeah, that's part of our entire bill payment process. Every bill that we pay manually is divided into two and then paid on every other Thursday. Even if the amounts go down, we still pay the same amount as before and it credits to our account. If we pay ahead enough, we end up owing nothing and it works out for us when we need the extra cash for other things.
