Still in the 70's ( if we're lucky ) and going to 80's with a few 90's
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Dh remarked to me the other day that this is the only year where the furnace has come on at least once a month, all year!
So, to my way of thinking, it will be more remarkable if we manage to NOT have the furnace come on monthly next year!

Yep. Our's has been on for a few weeks. DH likes it set to 72 degrees at all times and insists that it's more efficient and cheaper to keep it at one temp. I could definitely live with it at a lower temp, but it's not worth the bickering back and forth.
I do sneak and turn it down when he is out of the house for the day...he figured out I was doing it at night too, so that had to stop lol.
Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without...
Grocery Budget Challenge: $150/week (for now, will be lower)

Still haven't turned on the furnace yet. We had a hard freeze last night, but it wasn't uncomforable in the house.

Not yet. 70s daytime, 50s night. It's to get to 76 tomorrow. That is too warm for November. I would cheerfully turn on the heat if it would cool off. I thought I was going to have to turn the AC back on a couple of days ago.

I turned ours on in the middle of October (REALLY early) because of the crazy bought of cold weather we got. We bought a little heater that looks like an old metal wood burning fireplace but it's actually a light that makes it look like flames. It's cute and only $99 and it keeps the livingroom pretty darn warm for right now. In the past years I kept the heat at 64 during the day and 60 at night but these past few years I've had worsing fibromyalgia and I just can't take the cold anymore, it HURTS. I also have this super crazy thing where if I get to cold I get panic attacks...craziest thing ever I'm sure. So we caulked up all the windows, I made some draft guards, and hung a thick curtain in the pantry doorway because the pantry is not insulated at all and it leaks cold air something feirce. I'm also baking alot which helps

Our gas bill gets nasty in the winter though...we will pay $30 in the summer/warmer seasons but when winter hits we have 230-280 dollar gas bills even with the thermostat set low. What's funny is in the summer with the A/C going the electric bills stays under $80, so I think it's going to be cheaper this year to just run some space heaters instead of letting the gas heater kick on.

Turned it on 2 weeks ago, but have not had to run it everyday, its 40 right now and have a space heater on.

The only heat on is is my bedroom, we have a wood burning stove for the main rooms. Come to think of it, have not lit it up in a week or so!

I had to turn the A/C on Sunday (11/15) because it was so hot and humid. A front came through yesterday and it got down in the low 40's last night. I turned the heater on for a little while just to take the chill out of the house. I immediately turned it off.
I got out the little ceramic heater last night and put it in the bathroom. Hubby used it this morning while getting ready for work at 4:30 a. m.Mary

I've only turned on the little wall gas heater in the bathroom 3 times early in the morning for dh to get ready for work (3 a.m.) but looks like I won't have to turn the central on for a while yet. Being in central Lou-zee-ana does have this as a benefit. Downside being that I might yet have to use the AC again.
