For anyone who is with Enmax, here's their Peak Hours information:

Peak hours typically span from between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on weekdays, with the hours between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. often representing the highest load.

Here's the article that I found it on:

There's no way that I can run any sort of laundry from 10pm to 7am. I miss out on a lot. But this does mean that I can turn the heat down a lot during the day and turn it up at night.

    Default Peak Hour Pricing

This is the first time I have visited this wonderful forum in a very long time. For those who are not familiar with me I am an Energy Engineer who's career involves saving money on utility bills, both at work and at home. For those of you who do have different electric prices based on the time of day make sure you know when the high price ON PEAK hours are and when the lower price OFF Peak hours. Some utility companies change the time of day schedule when the seasons change. That is they have different ON Peak hours in the winter than they do in the summer. The ON PEAK summer hours match the heat of the day when the air conditioning load is high. Winter ON PEAK hours are focused on the colder hours of the evening. Here is link to an article to read for more information about saving money by reading your electric bill http://energyboomer.typepad.com/ener...oney_by_r.html

This is awesome info! I have Progress too, and was wondering if they had this discount. I do electronic billing, so no pamphlet for me. Can't thank you enough for posting!!

You are very welcome! Believe it or not there is also a slightly reduced rate for holidays. Weekends are also a little cheaper. But for best cost effectiveness it's after 9PM. Just figure what you can wait and do after that time if possible.
I preload the washer and have that done and start it after 9. The previous clothes from the washer are preloaded in the dryer to start after 9. If I'm still up I can do it again. If not fine. If I get up early I'll do the transfer and reload the washer for that night.
Dishes are loaded and ready to go before I go to bed.

my off peak hours are 8pm to 12pm. Believe me it surprised me when I called. I always thought they were 11pm to 7am.

So you bet I take advantage of the off peak hours. I save all my laundry for the weekend mornings. NEVER run my dryer "on peak". I've even started to cook my meals in the morning on weekends rather than later in the day.

Wow!!! I'd love to have them starting at 8PM. I could get in a couple loads laundry most nights. Aren't you glad you called!!!
