Default Maybe now he will listen...

I'm so happy. Our electric bill dropped $50 from last month. I finally got DH to turn the heat down when he leaves for work and he's been doing it faithfully. He used to argue with me about this saving money. He always said it takes more energy to heat it back up once we get home. My argument was the sun helps keep the house warm and I get home first anyway so by the time he gets home(4 hours later) the house is back up to where he likes it. I'm not about to tell him "I told you so" cuz the $$ speaks louder than my words.

yea...! i think the bills speak for themselves....it took my dh that 'concrete evidence' before he believed me too....

we had a friend stop by this afternoon and he was making fun of us coz he said he could 'see his breath' inside the house...and dh says..."yea but the portion of our gas bill last month was $100 bucks"...
(and this is a 2800 s/f house...w/3wks of zero temps.... and everyone else's around here was hovering in the $300's).....

    so...go us.. good job...

Good job! My hubby and kids REFUSE to believe that unplugging things when not in use helps lower the bill.

    Congrats!!

I think it makes a huge difference. Also turning it down at night.

I don't unplug some things but do unplug my dryer and washer. I think it has made a difference.......not huge but.........anything helps.

Yes, we have to have "proof" here too. It is almost like you have to say stuff in 2 different languages. Its kind of like when I give directions to the house now. I say "when you get to _ turn left/west then go to _ and turn right/north..."

Snicker snicker, I'm too old and tired to do that dance, I've been doing it for 13 years. I have however perfected the " I told you so" look. I don't have to say a word and he says, " yeh yeh..I know you told me so." It's good to be the
