Do you use a Toaster Oven?
I use my toaster oven, inplace of my regular oven whenever I can.
I read somewhere that it saves 75% of the electricity of a regular oven.
There is only 2 in our family, so it works well. I could see where it would not work well with a large family.
These are the things I have adapted to use in the Toaster Oven:
- Mini Meatloaves
- Chocolate chip cookies
- Mini Muffins
- Frozen pizza ( I cut store bought frozen to fit, homemade I cut before I flash freeze)
- Enchiladas
- Lots of casseroles (divided in half to make 2 meals)
- French fries
- Chicken strips
Probably others but this is all I can think of at the moment
Does anyone else do this???Bridge

No, because I don't own one. I do make as much use of the microwave, outdoor grill, and my 6qt. Nesco as possible though which defintely helps keep the electric bill down.

We don't have a microwave and very little shelf, wall or counter space in our kitchen and dining room to put one. So DH and I were considering purchasing a toaster oven to replace the microwave and oven, however we decided that the little space we have in the dining room(which is where an extra appliance would go) was limited and we're trying to reduce our kitchen clutter.

We don't have room for a toaster oven, but if I had the option to buy one I wouldn't. We are trying to do away with lots of electrical appliances. As it is, we have a regular toaster which we use a lot and a microwave which we hardly ever use and want to get rid of.
