Default sigh of relief on the gas bill FINALLY!

Now that summer is here my gas bill is FINALLY going down. It was close to $200 all winter and now I'm so relieved to see it only $27. Takes the pinch off a bit for awhile. At least til it starts getting cold again!

I am on a monthly payment plan with my gas bill. They average the cost over 12 months so the payment is consistant and no nasty unplanned surprise in the winter. Might be something you want to look into.

It does mean during the summer I build up a credit on the bill but it is quickly used in the winter

    I feel your relief!
Our bill (gas & elec combined) over the winter was nearly $400/mo. Mostly because of a problem with the (only 5yr old!!!) furnace. By the time the part came in to fix it, winter was nearly over

    Now I'm actually breathing a little easier w/ our $100/month gas/electric bill.
