Good for you! It's been too hot here in Michigan to go without air. I'm grateful for the air conditioner, and right now will happily pay whatever it costs. I'm trying to keep the temp 78 and up though!

My DH works in the heat all day long...so when he's home he needs the A/C on the lowest temp 64 I sometimes get too cold so I wear sweatpants & long sleeve T- shirts..when I go outside people look since it's soo hot out how can I get goosebumps? The A/C we have in the kitchen window basically cools off the bottom floor of my house. We also have one in our BR. Yeah we pay for it w/ LIPA our bill is like $500 for 2 months! But Ma needs to have her light on in her room all the time & the bathroom light we are constantly changing burnt out bulbs. She complains the house is too dark because of her vision problems she's 82 & has glaucoma.

Sometimes I change into my summer gear. Usually out for a few minutes then into my A/C suv on the go to freeze some more...on the way back from picking up DH. I keep it on the floor/panel fresh air unless its really humid out it's just like having the A/C on! I had it on this setting to save on gas too before my next fill-up just incase it was that low. DH didn't know the difference since it was still cooler than outside.
