Electric costs rising?
Hi all. Just wondering if your electric costs are rising like ours are. I got the notice on our bill this month.
We are going up to 6.507 cents per KWh per month. It was (6.036 cents) not a huge jump, but still will add up. They are also increasing the monthly charge by $ .73 cents.
Like I said, not huge increases, but it can make a big impact on some families.

Our sewer bill went from $2.08 per unit to $6.18 per unit. Our water bill went up.12cents. Talk about a shock when I received my electric bill. Our water, sewer, electric and trash are on the same bill. So, when my electric bill went from $111. to $156. you better believe I had a fit. What makes me mad is that we as taxpayers didn't have a say on it. The commisioners decided this. Guess who got raises in our community. You got it! The commisioners.

Our natural gas bill just jumped!
My monthly heating bill was 107$, it is now 128$ per month! Another $21 I need to find in my budget. It never ends.
Thank-fully, our electric bill hasn't risen.......yet.

Yes, ours just had a 5% increase. It went from $117 last month to $127 this month
It's frustrating since we are trying to cut back and save money

Yep, we got a notice with our utility bill(electric, water, solid waste and sewer) that they will be raising our budget payment from $175 to $187. In March we were paying $130 for a budget payment. Scary!
It just seems like you can't win, you try to conserve energy and do your part to keep the bill down but they raise it anyway. Frustrating!!!

We're holding our breath as our nat. gas budget is 94.00 but at the end of last years budget they upped it to 120.00. It's back to 94, but for how long?
Scarey!

We are lucky here in Eugene, because we are actually looking at a DECREASE in our electric rates-at least for the next few months... We were told to expect them to go back up though by late spring... So if this is as bad as it is going to get for awhile I am excited...... Sorry for the rest of you with the increases

It sounds like you have cheap electric. I think mine runs between 8 and 9 kwh.

Our local news just reported this morning that our electric provider is raising rates (yet again) in January. The first 1,000 KWH used will cost an additional $14.74 per bill starting then. I know any additional KWH will also be affected, but they didn't say what the raise on it will be. The reason the electric company gave.... hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

We got notice on last months bill, elec is going up significantly.
Oil for furnace is madly expensive as well. Our water is almost always the same, and we dont have sewer.
