I try to keep to a moderate amount of computer time -- especially on the net!

On average how long do you stay online?

What restrictions do you impose upon your internet usage?

Is it a major factor to your electric bill?

When is it neccessary to have pc intervention? LOL

Just thoughts to ponder.................

My computer is on all day and is connected to the internet all that time. I don't have a problem walking away from it. Some days I spend a lot on the net, some days I don't. It all balances out.

Same here as Rhonda. Computer is on the minute I come home from work, and on the weekends I turn it on as soon as I get up. It varies how much time I spent on the net.

Well, I am on dial up, and limited to 15 hours per month which used to be no problem (I am not a computor person). I used to use it only for school and e-mails. But then I found this place! Now I have a problem. I want to be here all the time! So I keep sneeking on when ever, everyone is occupied..........

Like I am doing something illegal! so I type FAST with frequent typos. I can't read too many posts.....so I dash on answer a few and dash off.........like a masked bandit

hahaha holly, that's funny. I guess it can be like that a bit. Look on it as your entertainment and education and a way of sharing friendship with all of us around the world. I think that in the short time you've been here you've added a lot to the site. I hope you keep coming back.

The computer is on most of the day, we have broadband so the internet is on all day. I use it alot for making skype calls to family and friends.

I try to limit myself on pc time but its hard to resist the temptation LOL - I know I do spend too much time but I look at it as part of my social life LOL.

I generally get up early with DH and get a bit of pc time before the kids wake up and then during the day when Jamie is having a nap.

some days I am on alot and other days I never look at it if I have too much on although I could probably get alot more done if I was away from it a bit more!!!

When my daughter watches Dora. Other than that I had to sneak a minute here and there. Both kids are now computer savvy - even though they are too little to read!!! Those kids can navigate a link and know the back button and print.

So I shut the computer off when we leave the house or to keep them off it.

During the week I come on for about 2 hours in the morning, coming here and other websites, doing point programs and searching ebay.

On the weekends I usually come on first thing in the morning to get point programs done, catch up on emails, etc. If I'm bored later on I may come back on but most times I don't.

I usually hop on after I get my work done. I'm up early so I usually have most of that done by 7am. Then it's off and on thru the day. If I have something I want/need to do I just shut it off and come back later. Almost always have my lunch here.
We have ours thru our cable and it's our luxury item.

Our computer is on most all day and we have DSL so the internet is always on. I am on a lot some days - not much others. Sunday I am hardly on at all.

I have my laptop in the kitchen & I use it all day for various things. Internet time, well, it's spotty. Sometimes alot, other times, I just check e-mails & move on to some other work I need to do. We have DSL, so it's connected all the time.

We have unlimited access so I turn it on when I get up and leave it on unless I'm going to be gone all day.
I am off and on at many sites all day long. then the rest of them are on at night time.
My house work says I'm on way to much

I have broadband wireless connection on my laptop Itsconnected all the time. However I am usually only on it (2 times a week, during the weekday) and usually every night after 8:00pm. The weekend it's on as soon as I wake up and shut down when I go to sleep. That fact that I can go into any room and be connected online is my biggest downfall (it makes me want to be on it more) LOL It doesn't reflect our electric bill that much (I am good at keeping everything off (unless it needs to be used)

i have to be at work at 6:30 am so i don't get online in the morning unless i have to check the checking account balance. when i get home i have to get dd from school and then have 20 minutes to kill before i get ds, so i usually check a few things then. i'm also usually on while they do their homework. they do their homework in the room next to the computer, but there is a big opening between the two rooms so i can see them and run over if they need help.

once i check email and a couple of boards, that's usually it until after dinner. sometimes i'll check boards again or balance the check book. everyso often i'll play games.
