    Exclamation OMGoodness! Electric Bill!

    My electric bill tripled! I have been following dh and fil around turning off lights etc... I know that while I am at work fil is running everything!!!!! What to do? He won't listen, and he won't chip in for the bill

    He refuses!

    He is driving me nuts!!!! Right now he is outside with the music going, using power tools, and has his jeep running. I have no idea what he is doing.

    I might remove some of the lightbulbs in some of the lights, and hide them. Short of that I don't know what else to do.

    Yep, he saw it. DH won't say anything to him. So, it is left up to me. Then if I say something, they say that I am picking on him.

    Oh gosh - what a bad situation!

    Did you have a rate increase as well by any chance? Compare your last few bills to see. I don't know if you have FPL as your provider, but they have put in a request before the state for yet another rate hike (they claim due to $$$ losses from the hurricanes).

    I'll have to check. On the little graph, the line for January is more than double what it was in December, and that is without Christmas lights!

    Make sure they didn't estimate your bill as well. If your meter was due to be read somewhere during the holidays, they may have not physically done so.
