    Default Bills Came Down!

    Phewf!

The gas bill came today and was down to $296 from $350 last month. Still MUCH higher than I'd like, (and unimaginable from the family that keeps the house at 58 degrees), but it was progress.

The electric bill also came today and was down from $121 last month to $45! That was a big jump. I was very happy about that!

Wow! I can't believe your heating bills are so high. Congratulations on decreasing them as much as you did.

Great work on the electric bill too. Any tips on how you cut it by over in half in just a month?

    WTG Amy!!!

Ours went down too...by $2 ($472 last month, $470 this month -gas & elec combined) I can only imagine how high it would be if we hadn't had the record high temps we've had this winter...we've been in the 40s & 50s instead of 20s and below.

Ours went down as well but I can't do 58 I keep ours at 68 during the day and 65 at night. I could probably stand to drop it a couple more degrees but DH hates it.
I am still hanging my clothes in the basement instead of using the dryer. I'm anxcious to see what kind of a difference that'll make to my electric bill.
