    Lightbulb compact fluorscent light bulbs

    Ok you guys got me thinking! I just switched most of my light bulbs to the energy savers lat night and since I should be getting my meter read today hopefully I will see a big decrease in my electric bill next month!

    We switched ours a while ago and althought we didn't see a big difference in our bill there was a difference. Hope you see a difference in yours.

    Ours was a good decrease, but it was 60 to 80$ approx over the year.

    All I recall was that the first year of savings covered the extra cost of the bulbs.

    We made no other changes that year.

    I'm not sure if you will see that kind of a difference, I did but how much you have the lights on, which you turn on, and so forth may affect how much you save.

    At the time both kids were home, and not exactly prone to turning off lights, plus we had a bathroom light bar that sucked a lot of power (each bulb was 60 watts--and there were 5 of them plus another 60 watt ceiling bulb).

    i changed ours a few weeks ago too. if anything i'll at least get to quit buying new bulbs every few weeks. seems like i was changing the same bulbs every month.
