How much do you use?

We just got our electric bill and it went way down. I have been drying clothes outside and the we have tried to keep the air off.

According to the bill our average usage was 23 kWh per day so I am going to start watching that and challenge myself to see how much I can reduce it each month.

What is your average kWh per day usage? Who has the lowest?

I averaged 7kwh. My household consists of me, my dog and at times my boyfriend. I live in a small 2 bedroom ranch.

Ours from 3/30-5/01 is 828kWh, so almost 26kWh per day for the month of April. We did have a few days where the heat came on at night when it got into the 20s. I've been hanging out 90% of our laundry, we don't have air conditioning.
I think I could get it down a tad, esp factoring in the furnace coming on a few times. We have a 3000 sq ft house w/ laundry (the washer) going almost every day (about 5 out of 7 days), a dishwasher, two refridgerators, and one deep freezer.

Ours averages around 11 kWh a day!

My all time lowest bill was last month. I used a total of 327 kwh in 29 days so approx 11.5 kwh a day, the bill came out to $38.77!!!! Compared that to the same month last year where we used 24 kwh a day I was pretty impressed! Unfortunately my electric usage will start to increase once I start to use the attic fan, dehumidifier in the basement as well as the central air, but I figure if I can have at least 3-4 months a year with it that low I will be really really happy!

I'll tell you the cf lightbulbs made a big difference for me!
