Elec. went up
Can't understand it, we unhooked deep freezer off for 2- almost three months and bill came in Friday saying it went up $30 . I couldn't belive it, haven'y been doing anything differn't. Not on puter all day, I only check email and write in forumn, then shut it off till next day. Doing the same amount of laundry as always. If we were allowed I would have clothes line, using back step as much as i can. I just wondeing if the Ventulation system(each townhoue has one) is keeping it up. We looked at the book that came with it, its at the right settings. I asked the neighbours, one said thers went up 10 dollars and the other said, his went down.
It's a wonder to me, hubbys going at dinner time to talk to them, he want them to come out and look at the metre and find out whats going on.
sorry just really mad, and venting.

Ours just keeps on going up and up, we heard the other day there prices are going up by 40 percent!!. I wish we could use something else! A couple of years ago a private company built a wind farm of the coast here and we were hoping to use their power when they began to offer it to the public. That doesnt look like its going to happen as the government is saying that it cant go public - probably as it would lower costs and the government own the electricity board - I dont know what to do, our prices have qudrupled since two years ago, its just getting ridiculous!!

My electric bill hasn't come in yet, but I don't even want to think about it. Last year they raised the rates up 3% and talking about raising the eletric another 3%. In the paper they told us this was only the begining of our electric bill going up. Also, they raised our sewer another $2.00. My electric, water, sewer, and trash are on the same bill. Can't get away from the trash bill, my water isn't to bad but whatever your water bill is they triple your sewer bill. Makes me so mad I could scream. You try to be as frugal as you can be with your electric and here they come along and just keep adding and adding more money to your bill. But, did I forget the commisioner got a $10,000 bonus. Probably to keep up with his utilities.

Oh yeah. It is getting bad. We are looking at putting solar panels on the house. At least then we can take it off our taxes.

I know that power companies in my area (Dallas, TX) raise rates between May and (I think) October. I suppose that's because they get their biggest power usage during that time (we all need our air conditioners cuz it's HOT!), so it's supposed to be an incentive to conserve. Maybe your power company does the same sort of thing.

Our last bill went down, but I expect a real hike soon. I know we're paying more than when we moved here a couple of years ago.
