Do you pay extra towards your....
Electric? I'm thinking of paying an extra $100.00 bi-monthly on my electric bill so I'm ahead for when winter is here...We aren't on any budget plan with them and we always pay the bill in full..I'm also thinking of paying extra money on the telephone and cable bill monthly...I'm thinking ahead as my dh and I want to pay off all our credit card dept before next year leaving only xxx-amount in our account..Every winter I get worried with the what if's...I think I will be more comfortable with knowing we are ahead on those particular bills.. Does anyone else think like I do?

Rather than pay ahead on them what about putting money away for them in a higher yield savings account? I do this for insurance, gas and taxes and with ING I make 4.25% on the money and it's there when I need it.

I am on a balanced payment plan. Our utilities watch and if you are over or under paying they rebalance it while it's a small adjust ment.
Means I pay the same year round.

I am on the budget with my electric co. I would look into budget billing so your payments will be the same year round. This helps me out since my bills go up in the summer months with using the central air but my payment stays the same.

I do this also, and it has worked well for me. I opened a few other savings accounts with ING for different things like our vacations. I just pay the full balance on our bills and stick any "extra" money into those savings accounts.

This is where I started -it answers a lot of questionshttp://www.ingdirect.com/osa_work/ However, you can just go to www.Ing.com to check out the whole company. I've really been pleased with them and I hope you like them as well. Good luck!
