    Default Electric Bill this month

This month it is $80. Up $15 from before but we have the a/c running. Need to figure out where else to cut more corners.

Mine went up too but it was from watering the garden so much to get it started, we've got a well and the pump is NOT cheap to run, sigh.

I did turn off the second deep freeze yesterday for the summer, hopefully that will help bring the bill down, we'll keep it off until I really start harvesting the garden.

My house is total electric. My neighbors is also total electric. Her bill, same size house with no garage....$128.00.

My bill with 3 garages that are not used but the well pump is hooked up to them...$245.69!

    Meter 1...Electric usage $151.02, Facility Charge(charge for having a meter) $15.00, Power Cost Adjustment(17% increase) $34.46!

Meter 2...Electric usage $12.33(not bad for one months water bill), $30.00 Facility Charge (they charge twice the amount for the second meter as they feel it is non-residential! ), Power Cost Adjustment $2.88.

My actual bill should only be $163.35 which is still high! Our electric company is robbing us and we're all up in arms about it but there seems to be nothing we can do.

I can't get rid of the second meter and combine all of the power because my house will not carry the load to include the well pump so I would have to upgrade the house at about a $2,000 cost!

It's just sickening and part of the reason I have so little money each month. This bill is lower than some. I normally range around $300 during the summer.

Dolphin are the garages used at all for business, etc?

Our second meter if for the barns and it's deductable as it's for the business, not much savings but every penny helps. Our water pump is on the house electric but runs the water for the house and the barns.

Funny, at first I was giving the hubby heck for the one bill being higher thinking it was the barn bill, he's been doing a lot of welding and tends to leave lights on, and he's sure the cows need a fan, sigh, they do NOT need that fan, I keep turning it off, lol.

It wasn't until I looked closer at the bills that I realized it was the house bill that went up, and yes, I told him and apologized, lol.

Kept the barn bill to only $22.00 for last month, it's MUCH MUCH higher in the winter when we have to run the water heaters.

And I'd be up in arms too about the meter charges, that is NOT fair in my opinion!

Our bill was $69.21, down from last month. We have an electric water heater, but gas for everything else. We don't have air conditioning and I think that makes a big differenct. We have had hotter than usually weather here the past week so started running a fan in the evenings.

I can remember several years ago (10 or 12 maybe) when our bill would only be in the $20 range during the summer months.

Our house is totally electric- our bill comes out around 100-117 each month. I would turn the air off during the day while I'm at work but Dh works nights so he sleeps during the day and doesn't like it to get "warm." Otherwise I'm not really sure what we could cut down on...I turn off lights when I leave the rooms, etc.

Ours came in at $121.93 for 724 KWH. Really need to work on getting the KWH down, but it has been so darn hot here, I feel that we have to run the A/C, though only at night.

In fact, I'm hoping when DH gets back tonight he'll put the second box unit up in our room. Otherwise I'm sleeping on the couch!

JustJoy! That is one low electric bill!

We have been running the air again! It was in the 90's today, just too too hot and humid! I'm sure with the central air, attic fan and dehumidifier the next 3 months will be my largest bills!
