Next year I'm going to try growing vines on the wall of the house that gets full sun most of the day. I bought the seeds and netting at a clearance for $2. I can't wait to see if it helps.
Another way we stay cool is to have a quick hot, hot shower. After we get out we always feel cooler. I also use body sprays. I keep them in the fridge and spray a bit on when I feel like I'm overheating.
