Default What Temperature Do You Keep Your Air Conditioner Set At?

We don't use the air conditioner much but when we do we usually turn it to 70 degrees as its difficult to cool the upstairs. We usually just open the windows but if its too hot and or muggy outside it slows me down and I don't get enough accomplished around the house, so I turn on the A/C. We use the air conditioner a few days out of the month.

Windwow unit...74º. We have window units upstairs too, but they don't have temperature control on them.

Ours is set at 80 (and it has to reach 84 in the house before the A/C may be turned on)

We have ceiling fans running in most rooms to help circulate the air. I have a big floor sitting fan at the base of the basement stairs to help push that cooler air upstairs (and was suprised at what a difference it made in keeping the air mobing and cooler and keeping the compressor from turning on so much)

I keep mine at 78 during the day. When I get home, if it feels too warm in the house, I drop it to 76 until morning. I just cannot sleep hot.

78 here. Down to 75 if it gets uncomfortable...since this is the deep South, that sometimes happens.

Usually 77-78 during day, I will bump it up and down depending on how hot I am from running up and down the stairs doing laundry or other housework. When dh gets home, he'll drop it down to 74-75 and I'll sneak it back up to a reasonable level.. bedtime is usually 75-76. If I know I won't be home all day, I will put it up to 80 or higher.
