    Default Electric Bill for July

Well I am quite happy with my bill for this month. For 33 days I used 1051 kwh for a total of $100.66. I thought it was gonna be higher with the couple of heat waves that we had here and the ac running non-stop. It only went up around $9 from last month. Now August is usually my highest month for electrical consumption so I am really really really gonna try my best to get a bill of $100 or less! That is my goal!

Glad it wasn't too bad for you.. Mine was $75 up from a low of $40...but it has been so hot here lately that the air conditioners were on constantly-I can live with paying extra for a little bit of relief.

I know what you mean! The heat has been awful! But the humidity is the killer! This is actually the first day in a long time that I am able to shut it off for 8 hours or so during the day.

My first full month of electric in my new house was $73.00. I budgeted for $100.00, so I am okay with 73.00. It may have even been a little cheeper if I didn't have to wash all of the linens that had been packed up for a year.

Oh, and it has been as hot as blue blazes here in SC for the past month. LOL

that really is good! We don't even have a/c and our electricity usage was 826kWh. It's down from this time last year, but still!!

I get sick every time I look at this bill. Our electricity usage was only $67, but the delivery charges were $57!! And there's NOTHING I can do to cut back that part of the bill.

Mine is on budget at $101.00 a month year round. I sure wish I could get it down, but then I don't have a water or sewer bill either.

YankeeMom - Wow $57 for delivery charges is outrageous! Is there another provider that you can possibly switch to?

My bill is more like $200 or so a month and I thought that was good with my central air running.

pkellyc - It really depends on a lot of factors. Size of your house, what your electrical rates are how old your unit is, how many kwhs you use a month. ......... Pull out a bill from last year and compare it to this years to see if you are using more kwhs. Then why dont you join us on tracking your usage to see if you can lower it a little at a time.

It is almost 8 pm here central time and it is still 98º! August bill is going to be higher I bet. We shall see. I am keeping my budgeted amount at $200 even though my bill was 106 this month.
