dishwasher question
i have a portable dishwasher with a temp boost option. my question is, instead of turning on the hot water (and using gas to heat the water) can i use cold water instead and then just use the temp boost? will that work just as well? or would it be more cost effective to just use the hot water and prob. less electricity not using the temp boost? or does the temp boost even use more electricity? any thoughts??

Personally, I wouldn't want to do them in anything less than hot. Also, would think that the temp boost would only push cold water up to a warm level... kwim?

hmmm so i guess i need to test the temp of the water on temp boost with cold to see how hot its actually getting.

When I replaced my furnace I rinsed my dishes well and ran them through with water heat and they came out fine. I did check the temp and it was nice and hot in the dishwasher. I am not sure if water heat and temp. boost is the same but I would think so.
