    Default Utility Bills

I pulled out my utility bills to see how much better I am doing since I started to watch my utility bills and was very happy with the outcome.

We use electric for cooking and for our clothes dryer, our central air in the summer as well as a dumidifier in the summer. Our heat and hotwater are oil.

For 2004 we used a total of 9927 kwh for the year which works out to be approx 827 kwh monthly averge.

For 2005 we used a total of 9464 kwh for the year which works out to be approx 788 kwh monthly average.

For 2006 we used a total of 7527 kwh for the year which works out to be approx 627 kwh monthly average. I am happy that I was able to shave off a nice chunck of kwh!

For our oil I dont use the calander year I usually get my first fill up in Sept and my last in March for the heating season.

2003-2004 heating season we used 789 gallons
2004/2005 heating season we used 725 gallons
Last year heating season 2005-2006 we used 537 gallons
I also am happy that I was able to lower my oil consumption.

Anyone else care to pull out your old bills and list what you were able to save.

That's great - both that you were able to lower both and that you kept the bills.
