Electric Dyers
I called the electric company yesterday, because our bill went up so much. Seems we figured out where it's eating electric. Baseboard heaters, whichi I will add are only temporary. So, I mentioned having this newer electric dryer, less than 3 years old and my fear of running the bill up even more since I have always had a gas dryer. The electric company rep told me that the electric dryers use from $1.25 to $10 a month for regular usage. She also said that her chart showed that using a washing machine uses more electric than a dryer. I found that completely amazing. Have you ever heard of that?
Well, anyway, I felt a little bit better about the dryer, and truthfully I haven't been doing a lot of laundry, only about 4 or 5 loads a week. Not bad in my opinion, but there are only 3 of us and we wear our jeans more than 1 day in a row.
So, what do you think?

That is very interesting to know about the dryer.
At least you know where your increase is coming from. That electric heat is very expensive.Nancy
